Information We Collect
eKeypad’s primary goal is to minimize the collection of information. Where information is collected, our goal is to safeguard the information and use it to provide more efficient customer service and better tailor our web site and Apps to your needs.
When you visit eKeypad web sites, contact us for technical support or use license eKeypad Apps, we will gain access to the following types of information:
- Web site logs. Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile application each time you access an eKeypad web site. Our web server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, pages viewed and other such information. We do not link this automatically-created data to personal identifiable information.
- Information you voluntarily choose to disclose to eKeypad as a part of direct, individual interaction with web site forms, email communications and our technical support services. Examples of the data collected include your contact details and equipment configuration details. This may include information such as your email address, identify or details of how to connect to your equipment.
- App usage information. When launching our Apps, generic and anonymous information about how you are using the App is logged. Examples of the data collected include the model id of your mobile device and a count of configured device types and other such information. This data does not contain any personal identifying information about you or any detail on how to connect or control your equipment. We do not link any of this data to personal identifiable information.
To protect your information, we use encrypted connections any time data is transmitted between devices. The configuration data of our Apps is stored on mobile device storage and in configuration backups as encrypted data. We strongly advise that you also make use of our App functions to restrict launching and access to configuration details.

How We Use Information
We only use information we received to complete our business purposes such as, but not limited to, providing technical support, answering questions or improving our Apps.
eKeypad does NOT sell, distribute or lease any information we collect about you to third parties unless we are required by law to do so or you have designated a representative.
Please be advised that, as permitted by local law and regulation, any information that you provide to eKeypad may be disclosed if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with the law or legal process served on eKeypad; or (b) protect and defend the rights and property of eKeypad or others; in any event, eKeypad will disclose information only in accordance with applicable regulations.
During normal operation of our web site and Apps, the usage data we collect helps us identify the functionality used most often. This data does NOT give us access to: (a) your computer, (b) your identity, (c) your location, or (d) how to access your equipment.
When we provide technical support services, more detailed personal information and equipment configuration details may need to be shared with us. This can be required to identify and resolve complex issues affecting the operation of your App. This data may allow us to remotely access and control to your equipment in addition to access of more detailed personal identifiable data. When required, we enforce specific processes to safeguard the transfer and use of this data. When support services are no longer needed, we will discard all personal identifiable information and equipment configuration details.
By using eKeypad web sites or Apps or by communicating with us for technical support, you authorize eKeypad to access information as stated above, and to use such information as needed to support and improvement eKeypad web sites and Apps.
In the event you require technical support with an eKeypad App all attempts will be made to replicate the issue on our internal testing equipment.
If replicating the issue is not possible, temporary access to your equipment may be necessary to resolve complex issues or provide timely resolution to issues. We make several procedures and processes available to safeguard your information.
Before sharing any detailed equipment configuration information with us for technical support, we strongly advise you to create temporary logins and user codes to share with us. This will allow you to retain control over our ability to access your equipment.
For equipment configuration data, we strongly advise using the configuration backup functionality found in eKeypad Apps. This method will use encryption to protect your private information during transport.
If you do not use the guidelines we provide during a technical support session, we will be unable to make representations about the security of the personal identification data you send over the internet. You will do so at your own risk.
We will only access your equipment in the way and time you specify. Unless we have your explicit consent, we will never connect or control your equipment. Any time we connect to your equipment, you, or a representative you have designated, must be present on site to monitor our actions.
As a result of troubleshooting issues using a remote connection to your equipment, various types of data will be sent to us. eKeypad will not log or record any of the data received from your equipment.
You, or your designate representative, will be required to make any necessary configuration changes to your equipment. Under no circumstance will eKeypad be able to make any changes to your equipment configuration.
Upon resolution of the technical support issue we will immediately make a good faith effort to purge all configuration details and backup files from our possession. This includes: (a) mobile devices used for testing, (b) development and debug computers, and (c) email systems.
We will NOT retain the configuration details of your equipment and we will NOT share this information, under any circumstances, with any third parties without your explicit approval.
Usage by Children
eKeypad web sites and Apps are not intended for use by minors under the age of 17 years. We never collect or maintain personal information from those we actually know to be under the age of 17. No part of our web site or Apps are structured to attract anyone under 17.
Conditions of Use
Please note that some or all of the information you provide may be required in order for us to provide our services or the Apps to function properly.
